Our group was very successful, and made a lot of cool things throughout this project. We made a product called "Equipo JERT" this product is a speaker that has earbuds connected to it, allowing you to use it "however you want, with who you want" We worked very hard on this project, making graphics, animations, ads, logos, a commercial, and even a website. to show off how great our product really is. Each of us had a strength in which we used to create every part of this project. Some of us worked on graphics, while others were editing the video, animation, or the website. At the very end, when we are done making all of our stuff, we had to present our product to the whole first our of Ecom. This wasn't bad at all, it fact, it was pretty fun. Our team did very well, and got good feedback.
How long did it take?
This project took a whole month to accomplish. Everything that we had to do took a lot of time and effort, especially if you wanted to have a good presentation by the end of everything. This project is very important, and you want to make it as good as you can. Not to mention it is for a good amount of you grade. The thing that took the longest for us was the website. The website got messed up while we were creating it, which put a dent into our time. It turned put to be okay, because our team met up in the Ecom room every morning until it was fixed. Overall, the timing was not too bad, but it did take a while to get everything the way we wanted it to be.
Challenges:
We didn't face very many challenges in the beginning. Like I said earlier, we did face a challenge towards the end with our website not working the way we needed it to. Sometimes we would have a small problem here and there, but they were never very bad. Our biggest challenge was definitely the website. The website has a lot of small things that needs to be done, a long with a lot of steps. We missed a few steps that turned out to not be very important while presenting. That was very good on our part. While this was happening, we would all get super frustrated and get irritated at the problem that we were facing. This was okay because we all knew why and we were all acting like that. Overall, we didn't face many challenges, and got all of our work done pretty fast and neat. I think this is because we are very passionate about what we created, and we wanted to make it right.
Along the way, I learned that no matter what challenges you face, it will always fall through. Also, I learned that getting up there and just doing you best, will get you through it. No matter what, if you know that you have done your best work and effort, then thats all you can do.
Feedback:
We got good feedback and bad feedback. Some people didn't like our product at all, while others liked it a lot. We were getting some negativity at the end, but it all turned out to be okay. I didn't get feedback personally from a teacher, but my teammates made it clear that we all worked hard and did the best we could to do the best we could. That was all that was needed. I was the website manager, so I could have had some feedback from a teacher saying to listen to the instructions better. Overall, We know that we did good and thats all that matters.
The only thing that we had to change was our website. We had to change the order of the website, and some things to go a long with that. It was the only thing that we officially had to change a lot of.
Opinion:
My opinion on the 4th quarter project was very good. I thought that this project was very fun, and i enjoyed it very much. This project allowed me to learn and grow more in Ecom. I love Ecom and all that I have done in this class.
Did we use our time wisely?
Our time was used very wisely more towards the beginning. We were getting everything done first, with no problems was so ever. Once we got used to each other, and getting a long very well, we started talking more, and not getting things done as fast as we did in the beginning. This was okay because we were still getting things done pretty fast. overall, I believe that our time was used pretty wisely throughout the project.
Our time in class wasn't always working super hard. Sometimes we would talk more than getting things done. But for the most part, we used our time in class to work hard on what we were supposed to do, and get it done efficiently.
When we would finish things early, we would look over it a few times and then be done with it. For the rest of the time we would just talk.
We never really worked outside of class or anything like that. We just went to the room in the mornings and finished what we needed to get done before class started, just to get a head start.
My Strengths:
I really like making the website. The website was my strength for sure. I always enjoy the projects that we did when it came to making the websites. I put a lot of effort into the website, even though there were some problems to face throughout.
Improvement:
I could focus more on graphics and how to work with that stuff a little more. I can't seem to figure out how to work the program half the time. I am always confused while trying to figure it out. I didn't help much with the graphics, but I should have.
Summary:
I really loved the final project. I would not change anything, because it was super fun to do. Overall, I really love Ecom and all they do to make it possible for us to do such great things. This program is truly amazing, and I am going to miss it next year.
